Abstract
The phenomenon of declining Generation Z (born 19972012) participation in mosque activities has become a serious concern for mosque administrators and Islamic management academics in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze mosque management strategies in enhancing Generation Z engagement through non-worship programsprograms that are not purely ritualistic in nature, such as economic empowerment activities, digital literacy, arts and culture, sports, and community-based social services. Using employing a literature-based qualitative methodology that reviews well-regarded academic publications and institutional reports, this study reveals that: (1) Generation Z possesses unique characteristics including digital orientation, high social awareness, and a need for authentic identity expression; (2) non-worship programs that are structured and responsive to Generation Zs needs have been proven to significantly increase their involvement; (3) program success depends on four management pillars: adaptive leadership, digital technology integration, cross-sector partnerships, and active youth participation in program design. This study concludes that the revitalization of the mosques function as a center of community civilization requires management transformation oriented toward the needs of the younger generation, without sacrificing Islamic values that serve as the foundation of the mosque institution.
